Asami Plant Dyer

Hand-dyed textile pouches and bags made with plant dyes – Lithuanian linen paired with vintage Japanese fabrics.

I began my journey into plant dyeing while still living in Japan. Five years ago, after moving to Lithuania, I started making dyes from plants I gather and grow myself, and hand-dyeing Lithuanian linen with these natural dyes, creating handmade textile bags, pouches and wallets.

This brand was born from a Japanese outlook – cherishing the things we use every day. Each piece is carefully handmade, and the natural colours and their combinations mean every piece is unique.

At the Bon Odori festival I will present special pouches and bags in which Lithuanian linen is paired with authentic vintage Japanese fabrics, designed to sit beautifully alongside a yukata or kimono, as well as everyday pieces suited to the new school year and the autumn season.
